In simple terms
Export promotion schemes support eligible imports, exports and specified domestic supplies under the applicable trade policy. Subh Exim helps assess which provisions fit your business and what records are needed for application, compliance and closure.
Services in this category
Duty Free Import Authorisation (DFIA)
DFIA supports eligible inputs for export products covered by applicable standard norms, subject to scheme conditions. Eligibility, supporting export records and any transferability conditions need to be reviewed for the particular authorisation. DFIA should not be treated as interchangeable with Advance Authorisation because the conditions differ.
Typical situations
- Your export product is covered by suitable standard norms
- You need to review DFIA compliance or transferability
How we help
- Check the product against applicable norms and conditions
- Reconcile export evidence and authorisation records
EPCG Licence
The EPCG scheme supports eligible capital goods used to produce export goods or provide eligible services, against an export obligation. Careful planning and records are important from application through installation and closure. The machinery’s intended use and a realistic export plan should be reviewed before purchase.
Typical situations
- You plan to source capital goods for export production
- Machinery installation or export commitments need review
How we help
- Assess the machinery and realistic export plan
- Organise application, installation and compliance evidence
Deemed Export Benefits
Certain supplies within India may qualify as deemed exports under the trade policy even though the goods do not leave the country. Available benefits can include refund of Terminal Excise Duty or deemed export drawback where applicable, subject to the supply category and supporting evidence. Not every sale to an exporter qualifies, and the buyer and supply conditions require separate checks.
Typical situations
- A domestic supply may fall in an eligible deemed export category
- A claim needs buyer or supply evidence
How we help
- Check the supply category and claimant eligibility
- Prepare invoice and payment evidence for the applicable claim
RoDTEP Assistance
RoDTEP provides remission of specified duties and taxes embedded in eligible exported products under the applicable framework. We help review eligibility, export declarations and claim records, including queries or mismatches affecting a claim. Eligibility should be checked against the product and conditions applicable to the relevant export.
Typical situations
- Eligible shipments need a RoDTEP claim review
- Declarations or claim records show a mismatch
How we help
- Review product eligibility and shipment declarations
- Reconcile claim records and support query replies
Export Promotion Mission
The Export Promotion Mission is an evolving initiative aimed at supporting export competitiveness and addressing exporter needs. Availability and conditions depend on the measures implemented, so consult Subh Exim about the current position for your business. Do not assume an announced initiative already provides a benefit for a particular transaction.
Typical situations
- You want to assess newly implemented export support
- Your commercial plans depend on potential assistance
How we help
- Review measures available for your business profile
- Explain current eligibility and supporting evidence
Gems & Jewellery Schemes
Gems and jewellery exports have specialised provisions for eligible inputs and export activities. We help review the applicable route and supporting records, taking account of the product, business activity and compliance requirements. Material movement and stock records are particularly important for specialised input arrangements.
Typical situations
- You source specialised inputs for jewellery exports
- Stock and export records need scheme-wise reconciliation
How we help
- Review the product and applicable scheme route
- Organise input, stock and shipment evidence
Legacy Schemes
Older export schemes may still involve unresolved claims, queries or closure requirements. We review historical approvals and transaction records to identify the options available under the provisions that apply to the case. A historical scheme’s closure or claim conditions may differ from those applying to current exports.
Typical situations
- An older benefit claim remains unresolved
- Historical scheme records need closure or a query response
How we help
- Reconstruct approvals and transaction history
- Assess the applicable provisions and prepare a response
EODC / Redemption
An Export Obligation Discharge Certificate or redemption records closure of an authorisation after the authority reviews compliance. We help reconcile imports and exports and prepare the supporting evidence; closure remains subject to the authority’s assessment. Retain the closure record for any subsequent customs bond or guarantee release process.
Typical situations
- Exports are complete but the authorisation remains open
- A redemption submission has received a deficiency query
How we help
- Reconcile authorisation-wise imports, exports and proceeds
- Prepare closure evidence and address identified gaps
Export Obligation Extension
An extension may be available when an authorisation holder needs more time to fulfil an export obligation, subject to applicable conditions. We review the authorisation, performance and reasons for delay before preparing a request. Submitting a request does not itself change the obligation or confirm an extension.
Typical situations
- Exports are delayed against an existing authorisation
- You need to assess a shortfall before the obligation period ends
How we help
- Review export performance and available extension provisions
- Prepare the reasons and supporting evidence for a request
Clubbing & Amendment of authorisations
Clubbing may allow eligible authorisations to be considered together for compliance purposes under the applicable provisions. Amendments address permitted changes to an authorisation, and we help check eligibility and prepare the supporting records. Each requested change must fit the relevant provisions; clubbing is not available for every set of licences.
Typical situations
- Eligible authorisations may need combined compliance assessment
- Permitted changes are needed to an existing authorisation
How we help
- Compare authorisations and check compatibility
- Prepare reconciliation or amendment records
Invalidation
Invalidation can enable eligible domestic procurement in place of imports under an authorisation, subject to scheme conditions. We help review the proposed supply and prepare the request with the buyer’s and supplier’s supporting details. Confirm the permitted procurement route before assuming the supplier can claim related benefits.
Typical situations
- You propose to source eligible inputs from a domestic supplier
- Buyer and supplier need aligned authorisation records
How we help
- Review the proposed domestic supply and scheme conditions
- Prepare the request with buyer and supplier evidence
Installation Certificate (EPCG)
EPCG capital goods generally require evidence of installation at the authorised premises in accordance with the scheme. We help coordinate the prescribed certification and submission, including supporting machinery and premises records. The equipment description and installation location should match the approved records.
Typical situations
- Imported EPCG machinery has been installed
- Installation details differ from the authorisation record
How we help
- Coordinate the prescribed certification and machinery evidence
- Support submission or review permitted corrections
